Principal Mission Architect – International

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Create comprehensive mission concepts tailored to customer requirements

• Conduct mission-level analyses and manage all primary mission budgets

• Establish requirements and design missions along with their payloads

• Utilize software tools and/or develop code to investigate engineering trade studies and address system design queries

• Assess spacecraft performance and constellation setups

• Collaborate with engineers and scientists from various disciplines to ensure products fulfill objectives

• Engage with international clients to identify their needs and oversee engineers in creating cost-effective solutions

• Facilitate solution development and international business ventures through regular international travel (30%)

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant engineering discipline

• 12 years of experience in the space mission sector

• Advanced degrees in pertinent fields are equivalent to 2 years of experience each

• Exceptional communication, presentation, and coordination abilities

• Capability to draw conclusions based on significant available factors and data

• Experience in spacecraft design

• Background in space mission design

• Proficiency in one or more programming languages including Python, Julia, Matlab, C, or C++

• Willingness to travel to the Mountain View facility for face-to-face meetings, assembly, and testing

• Capacity and eagerness to thrive in a fast-paced setting

• Access to export-controlled information necessitates either U.S. person status, eligibility without export authorization, or the potential to obtain required export authorization
