This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Ensure that infrastructure projects are in line with the Business Architecture framework, IT strategy, strategic objectives, and established standards.

• Collaborate with the Client Strategy, PMO, Implementation, and Onboarding teams to integrate client technologies and outline future requirements for network, compute, and storage infrastructure.

• Evaluate system requirements and designs against industry best practices, technological advancements, standards, and business objectives.

• Provide guidance on viable, cost-effective solutions that fulfill system architecture and design requirements.

• Adhere to and uphold VC3 standards and processes.

• Consult with Client Strategic Advisors and clients regarding IT strategies and directions.

• Create and manage a catalog of VC3 technical capabilities, technologies, and platforms; identify overlaps and areas for improvement.

• Convert client business and technical needs into value-driven proposals that address business drivers and challenges.

• Oversee internal proposal requests, ensuring that proposed solutions are comprehensive and suitable.

• Supervise the implementation of technical architecture by generating high-level blueprints and scopes.

• Prepare architecture-standard situation analyses focusing on reliability, capacity growth, backups, and related considerations.

• Analyze technical requirements to define platform infrastructure designs, potential challenges, and associated costs.

• Engage in Project Implementation Reviews to assess the accuracy of project scope and adherence to current best practices.

• Keep abreast of industry standards, software and data innovations, architectural trends, and key technology vendors.

• Maintain product-line information and revise labor, product, and high-level review templates as necessary.

• Ensure accurate timesheet management and complete notes for troubleshooting and client communications.

• Escalate complex issues as needed.

• Participate in team huddles, L10 meetings, one-on-ones, training sessions, and other team gatherings.

• Maintain effective communication with both clients and colleagues.

• Collaborate with various VC3 departments to enhance client satisfaction.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or Computer Science, or a diploma/equivalent experience.

• A minimum of 5+ years of hands-on experience in supporting and maintaining Server, Storage, Network & Backups in SMB environments.

• Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.

• Ability to comprehend and analyze intricate issues.

• Self-driven, detail-oriented, highly organized, with the capacity to manage diverse responsibilities effectively.

• Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to foster strong working relationships, encourage collaboration, and resolve conflicts.

• Capability to work collaboratively across different IT disciplines.

• Outstanding communication skills, including proficiency in documentation, visualization, and presenting to diverse audiences, along with the ability to balance speaking and listening.

• Advanced understanding of identity, directory services, authentication/authorization, single sign-on, access management, encryption, data privacy, backup, and disaster recovery.

• Expert knowledge of compute, storage, network, load balancing, scalability, and availability.

• Intermediate practical knowledge of cloud platform strategies and implementations, including PaaS, SaaS, HaaS, and IaaS within Microsoft Azure.

• Strong experience in identifying and addressing non-functional requirements such as response times, availability, disaster recovery, scalability, and data retention.

• Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft licensing models for Azure and on-premises infrastructure.

• Proven experience in architecting and building solutions for critical business operations, ensuring high availability, backup, restoration, and disaster recovery.

• Must successfully pass criminal background and Department of Motor Vehicles checks.

• Must comply with Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) requirements post-employment.
