Product Lifecycle Management Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Australia.

📋 Description

• Facilitate discovery and process-design workshops involving engineering, manufacturing, quality, supply chain, service, and IT stakeholders.

• Establish future-state PLM processes that encompass requirements traceability, product structures, document control, release, configuration, baselines, variants, effectivity, and engineering changes.

• Create governance for lifecycles across EBOM, MBOM, BOP, and as-built product configurations.

• Determine data ownership, system-of-record boundaries, approval controls, and lifecycle information flows.

• Provide guidance to stakeholders regarding fit-to-standard processes, implications of operating models, and priorities for adoption.

• Oversee Teamcenter's functional, application, information, integration, security, deployment, and environmental architecture.

• Design or manage the Teamcenter data model, business objects, classification, workflows, maturity and release states, organizational model, access controls, and collaboration patterns.

• Lead architectural decisions involving Active Workspace, BMIDE, ITK, SOA or REST services, integrations, and extension strategies.

• Assist in making decisions between configuration and customization to ensure upgradeability, performance, maintainability, and reusability.

• Deliver design assurance throughout the build, migration, testing, deployment, transition, and support phases.

• Collaborate with authorized security specialists to address hosting, identity, access, data handling, and site requirements.

• Generate architecture and assurance artifacts suitable for formal governance and design-review forums.


⛳️ Requirements

• Australian citizenship is required.

• Over 10 years of experience in enterprise PLM.

• Significant responsibilities in Siemens Teamcenter implementation and architecture.

• Leadership experience in at least one complete end-to-end Teamcenter delivery that includes discovery, design, configuration, integration, migration, testing, and deployment.

• Extensive knowledge of product structures, BOM management, configuration management, engineering changes, workflows, releases, effectivity, variants, and lifecycle governance.

• Practical understanding of Teamcenter data modeling and configuration, BMIDE, Active Workspace, ITK, and enterprise integration strategies.

• Experience with integrating Teamcenter with CAD and at least one ERP or manufacturing platform.

• Background in complex engineered-product environments such as defense, aerospace, marine, rail, automotive, energy, industrial equipment, or other regulated manufacturing sectors.

• Strong skills in consulting, workshop facilitation, stakeholder management, and technical execution.

• Capability to function as a hands-on architecture lead while mentoring teams and supporting solution development.
