This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee an infrastructure team and organize projects to fulfill client requirements
• Enhance team capabilities through exemplary leadership, T-shaped skill development, training, and mentorship
• Guide engineers and offer administrative assistance
• Ensure adherence to standards and procedures during the design and implementation of information systems
• Supervise systems to guarantee optimal infrastructure performance
• Collaborate with clients to define epics and translate requirements into actionable stories
• Conduct employee evaluations and manage staffing and resource allocation tasks
• Establish team objectives and prioritize tasks in alignment with company and departmental goals
• Communicate objectives and assess team performance
• Assign and oversee work among Database Administrators, Leads, and Supervisors
• Oversee hiring, retention, development, training, performance evaluation, feedback, and coaching
• Coordinate, direct, and mentor project management initiatives
• Facilitate communication with internal and external clients for analysis and problem-solving
• Act as a liaison with designated SBUs and management regarding departmental requirements
• Provide management status reports that highlight risks and issues
• Assist in budget preparation and management
• Ensure 24x7x365 staff coverage
• Execute special projects as assigned
• Over 7 years of relevant experience
• At least 3 years of experience in designing, building, and maintaining high-quality, secure IT infrastructure systems
• Proficient in Agile methodologies
• Familiarity with modern data center and cloud environments
• Experience navigating across various IT departments to gain a comprehensive understanding of the business/industry
• Knowledge of diverse concepts, practices, and procedures
• Strong critical thinking abilities
• Proven problem-solving skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication capabilities
• Ability to mentor and develop skills within the team
• Experience in healthcare, insurance, or a related sector
• Must understand, comply with, and attest to security responsibilities and controls specific to the role
