This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Manage all technical facets of the Synapse product's HL7 integration, encompassing installation, configuration, validation, and go-live processes.
• Collaborate with the MI Project Management team to provide top-notch Synapse product solutions.
• Serve as the primary technical resource for MI HL7 implementation initiatives across various Synapse product lines.
• Create comprehensive HL7 integration architectures, covering inbound, outbound, and bidirectional integrations.
• Execute enterprise-level data migrations, interface integrations, and data conversions.
• Connect Synapse MI products with external healthcare information systems, including dictation, EMR, PACS, CVIS, RIS, HIS, VNA, Synchronicity, LIS, and Anatomic Pathology systems.
• Develop reusable integration patterns and templates.
• Establish secure end-to-end communication utilizing TLS, VPNs, certificates, and encryption.
• Generate customer-specific solution designs, best-practice documentation, specification updates, validation and testing procedures, and test plans.
• Acquire knowledge of new Synapse and third-party products as they become available.
• Engage in the Subject Matter Expert program and participate in non-project activities.
• Mentor, train, and facilitate knowledge sharing among peers.
• Independently lead projects with minimal oversight.
• Keep documentation updated through regular reviews and publications.
• Collaborate with sales, technical support, field service, end users, vendors, and internal service and administrative teams.
• Participate in pre-sale discussions with customers and sales teams.
• Comply with quality, regulatory, U.S. FDA, ISO 13485, and other relevant legal requirements.
• Take part in peer reviews of test scripts and identify, test, and develop new HL7 integration processes and enhancements.
• Supervise the work of others as needed.
• Travel occasionally, up to 25%, based on business requirements.
• Bachelor’s degree in a computer-related field, or an Associate’s degree with significant experience in a relevant industry.
• At least 6-8 years of experience in HL7 integration within a hospital environment.
• Proficient in the usage and applicability of HL7 and DICOM standards.
• Experienced in working with relational databases such as Oracle and SQL Server.
• Capability to independently implement HL7 integration for third-party vendors for one or more Fuji Synapse product lines.
• Extensive knowledge of HL7 v2 (ADT, ORM, ORU, SIU, DFT, MDM), DICOM, FHIR, and IHE profiles.
• Familiarity with EMR systems including Epic, Cerner, Athena, Trubridge (CPSi), Meditech, Affinity, etc.
• Proficient in scripting languages (Lua, JavaScript, Python, or similar) for data transformation.
• Hands-on experience with interface engines like Iguana, Rhapsody, Mirth Connect, Cloverleaf, CorePoint, Ensemble, etc.
• Experience in a healthcare-related field or hospital environment is mandatory.
• Proficiency with MS Windows Client and Server Operating Systems, MS Clustering, MS Message Queuing, MS Internet Information Server, TCP/IP networking, MS products, VMWare, and Remote Access.
• Knowledge of workflows in radiology, dictation, cardiology, and electronic medical records systems.
• Expert-level understanding of PACS and Clinical Information Systems for Cardiology, Radiology, EIS, Laboratory, Pathology, VNA, and related services.
• Proven skills in project management, problem-solving, leadership, organization, communication, decision-making, and time management.
• Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, multitask, and collaborate with various teams in a matrix environment.
• Capacity to share knowledge with peers and associates.
• Certification in HL7, CompTIA Security+, or Windows Network is advantageous.
