Principal Full Stack Software Development Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Work alongside applied scientists, engineering, design, and research teams to comprehend, define, design, prototype, implement, and refine AI systems.

• Lead small teams in creating proofs of concept for agentic customer experiences and infrastructure.

• Develop and implement effective software development practices using AI tools to enhance engineering quality and scalability.

• Collaborate with Senior Product Leadership to synchronize engineering capabilities with business objectives.

• Establish quality benchmarks through code reviews, mentoring, and the creation of development guidelines.

• Offer technical leadership in navigating complex technical challenges.

• Educate science leadership on backend systems and align them with team and AI organizational strategies.

• Facilitate individual and team development through interviewing, onboarding, and mentorship.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 8 years experience in building and deploying production-grade software or services.

• Strong grasp of software design patterns and principles.

• Familiarity with the Machine Learning product development lifecycle.

• Experience with ETL, backend services, and product front-end development.

• Proficiency in Python, TypeScript, and JavaScript.

• Knowledge of AI coding tools and the deployment of AI agents.

• Ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to technical leaders across various disciplines.

• Experience defining architectural vision and strategy within an organization.

• Proven track record in developing highly available services at Internet scale.

• Capability to collaborate with teams and leaders, influence others, and navigate challenging conversations and decisions.

• Experience in mentoring and guiding engineers, fostering the development of technical leaders.

• Familiarity with generative AI or large language models and related technologies (preferred).

• Experience collaborating with science, engineering, design, research, and product partners in a startup environment (preferred).
