Principal Field Clinical Specialist – Mitral & Tricuspid

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Kansas, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Provide daily clinical study support in the field for Mitral and Tricuspid Therapies clinical initiatives.

• Offer technical assistance, education, and case support to ensure safe patient outcomes and align with company objectives.

• Conduct on-site education and consulting sessions.

• Aid field personnel in delivering exceptional customer service and achieving positive outcomes.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create and implement enrollment strategies.

• Engage in conventions, forums, and meetings to enhance product visibility.

• Supply customer case and educational support in collaboration with Therapy Development Management.

• Recognize and promote growth opportunities alongside the Clinical Support Team.

• Act as a technical resource for medical products and solutions.

• Assist with the preparation of Intrepid TMVR/TTVR devices and provide clinical procedure case support.

• Troubleshoot devices and systems, ensuring device suitability and proper patient selection.

• Support imaging modalities such as echocardiography, angiography, and CT.

• Provide feedback from clinical sites for engineering design improvements and product enhancements.

• Cultivate and maintain customer relationships and enrollment support with designated sites.

• Establish connections with principal investigators, research coordinators, OR/Cath Lab personnel, nursing staff, and decision-makers.

• Coordinate communications and necessary materials for patient screening and enrollment.

• Manage product shipping and returns in accordance with Medtronic policies.

• Develop and present training materials, simulations, presentations, and case studies for physicians.

• Educate and train physicians, hospital staff, and personnel on Medtronic products.

• Provide resources for procedure certification and activation.

• Mentor and train internal Medtronic employees.


⛳️ Requirements

• High school diploma/degree with at least 8 years of clinical support experience, or an associate degree with a minimum of 6 years, or a bachelor's degree with at least 4 years, or an advanced degree with a minimum of 2 years of clinical support.

• Willingness to travel approximately 75%, including international trips.

• A minimum of 3 years of field experience in the Structural Heart industry is preferred.

• Preferred experience with echocardiographic imaging of the mitral and/or tricuspid valve.

• Familiarity with CT segmentation and analysis software is preferred.

• Experience with trans-septal procedures, including TMVR or LAAC, is preferred.

• Previous clinical research experience, particularly in coordinating multi-center trials, is preferred.

• Experience in presenting, writing, and teaching clinical and medical information is preferred.

• Background in group presentations and interventional/surgical cardiac procedures is preferred.

• Knowledge of Good Clinical Practice and/or regulatory compliance guidelines is preferred.

• Proficient in MS Office applications, MS Project, or similar scheduling software, along with project management tools.

• Ability to work in Cath Labs or Operating Rooms with radiation exposure.

• Flexibility to work outside of the typical Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. schedule.

• Capability to lift 20 pounds.

• Proficient in using computers and CT reconstruction programming.

• Willingness to travel extensively by car and plane, with overnight stays up to 75% of the time.

• Capacity to sit and stand for 8 hours each day.

• Ability to wear a lead apron for an average of 2–3 hours.

• Requirement to wear personal protective equipment as needed.

• Valid driver’s license and an active vehicle insurance policy are necessary.

• Ability to operate a moving vehicle safely.

• For foreign degrees, a degree that satisfies 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is required.

• U.S. work authorization requirements apply; Principal-level sponsorship may be available.
