Principal Field Clinical Specialist – Mitral & Tricuspid

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +3 more states.

📋 Description

• Provide ongoing field clinical study assistance, technical and educational support, and site management for Mitral and Tricuspid Therapies clinical programs.

• Advocate for clinical programs by educating investigators, introducing new technologies, and offering case support.

• Conduct on-site teaching and/or consultancy services.

• Assist field staff in meeting customer outcomes and service objectives.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to formulate and implement enrollment strategies.

• Engage in conventions, forums, and meetings to enhance product recognition.

• Offer customer case and educational support alongside Therapy Development Management.

• Recognize and promote growth opportunities in conjunction with the Clinical Support Team.

• Act as a technical expert for medical products and solutions.

• Aid in clinical study procedures, including the preparation and support of Intrepid TMVR/TTVR devices.

• Provide technical assistance, troubleshoot devices, and offer advice on device suitability and patient selection.

• Support imaging requirements involving echocardiography, angiography, and CT scans.

• Deliver clinical site feedback for engineering designs, product improvements, and research and development initiatives.

• Build and sustain customer relationships and enrollment support with designated sites.

• Establish and nurture relationships with investigators, research coordinators, OR/Cath Lab staff, nursing units, decision-makers, and administrators.

• Organize patient screening and enrollment communications along with the necessary materials.

• Manage product shipping and returns in accordance with Medtronic policies.

• Assist in the creation and delivery of physician training resources, simulations, benchtop models, didactic sessions, and case studies.

• Educate and train physicians and hospital staff on Medtronic products through various formats including sessions, in-services, seminars, and symposiums.

• Mentor and train internal Medtronic employees.


⛳️ Requirements

• High school diploma/degree with at least 8 years of clinical support experience, or an Associate degree with a minimum of 6 years, a Bachelor's degree with at least 4 years, or an Advanced degree with a minimum of 2 years.

• Willingness to travel approximately 75%, including international travel and overnight stays.

• Preferred experience of 3+ years in the Structural Heart industry field.

• Preferred familiarity with echocardiographic imaging of the mitral and/or tricuspid valve.

• Preferred experience with CT segmentation and analysis software like 3Mensio.

• Preferred background in trans-septal procedures including TMVR or LAAC.

• Clinical Research experience, particularly in coordinating multi-center trials, is preferred.

• Preferred experience in presenting, writing, and teaching clinical and medical information.

• Preferred background in group presentations and interventional/surgical cardiac procedures.

• Familiarity with Good Clinical Practice and/or regulatory compliance guidelines is preferred.

• Proficiency in MS Office applications: Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and MS Project or similar scheduling software.

• Capability to work in Cath Labs or Operating Rooms with exposure to radiation.

• Flexibility to work outside the typical Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm schedule.

• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds.

• Proficient in using computers and CT reconstruction software.

• Willingness to travel extensively by car and air.

• Capability to sit and stand for 8 hours a day.

• Ability to wear a lead apron for an average of 2-3 hours.

• Must be able to operate a moving vehicle.

• Must be able to wear necessary personal protective equipment (PPE).

• A valid driver's license and active vehicle insurance policy are required; driving record will be reviewed.

• Must possess U.S. work authorization; Principal-level sponsorship may be available.

• For degrees obtained outside the United States, the degree must comply with 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A).
