This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado.

📋 Description

• Create programs that enhance utility system capacity, capability, sustainability, and control while minimizing total delivered costs.

• Offer technical feasibility evaluations and suggestions to cross-functional teams.

• Collaborate with platform engineering leadership to formulate annual and long-term capital plans.

• Utilize strategic thinking, technical knowledge, and hands-on execution across intricate infrastructure projects.

• Promote new and innovative utility solutions that align with business goals.

• Oversee Front End Loading packages and technical briefs related to infrastructure and utility projects.

• Conduct assessments of infrastructure technology and propose solutions for steam and condensate systems, compressed air systems, air dryers, boilers, hot water systems, and wastewater treatment.

• Work together with engineering project managers to generate initial capital and expense estimates, timelines, and performance criteria for equipment and systems.

• Identify alternatives, prerequisites, risks, and opportunities linked to utility and energy solutions.

• Evaluate Front End Loading Phase 1 and technical brief packages from external engineering partners.

• Engage in design reviews to guarantee the correct implementation of utility technical solutions and relevant codes.

• Examine system performance data and operational metrics to pinpoint improvement opportunities and construct business cases.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.

• Over 7 years of technical and project leadership experience in designing and operating plant utility systems, including steam and condensate, compressed air, boilers, hot water systems, and wastewater treatment.

• Proven experience in delivering thermal recovery initiatives or decreasing energy usage across utility and process systems.

• Engineering design and operational experience supporting sophisticated utility infrastructure.

• Strong influencing abilities with a proven history of effective stakeholder engagement across both technical and non-technical teams.

• Willingness to travel up to 50 percent of the time.

• The position may be performed remotely from east of Denver, Colorado, and should be within reasonable proximity to a major airport.

• Frequent travel to manufacturing facilities is required.
