This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.
• Spearhead the development of technical strategies and aid in the planning and execution of Foundational Services.
• Create, implement, and uphold resilient platform solutions focused on availability and security.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to guarantee smooth access to systems, applications, and data.
• Offer technical mentorship and support to junior team members.
• Develop tools to automate both routine and intricate tasks.
• Diagnose application and infrastructure challenges.
• Work alongside teams to architect scalable and maintainable service-oriented frameworks.
• Execute planned project tasks and assist with operational requests from internal clients.
• Engage in hands-on coding, debugging, and deployment of solutions.
• Produce architectures, documentation, diagrams, and proof-of-concepts for infrastructure-service integration.
• Take part in planning meetings, roadmap discussions, and architecture evaluations.
• Provide expertise in Load Balancing, IPAM, DNS, Hashicorp Vault, and PKI Certificate Management.
• Recognize and resolve stability, capacity, and performance issues utilizing Prometheus, Grafana, and Splunk.
• Implement automation and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions.
• Complete Jira project tasks following SAFe methodology.
• Commit infrastructure builds, automation, and testing code to GitLab.
• Ensure compliance with PCI and security standards.
• Coordinate with Networking, Data Center Operations, Security, and other teams.
• Respond to, recover from, and avert failures and service interruptions.
• Participate in on-call duties and may be required for after-hours support.
• Extensive hands-on experience with a majority of supported technologies, including Netscaler Load Balancing, Hashicorp Vault, DNS, IPAM, PKI certificate management, Egress Proxies, Fastly, and Apigee.
• Strong grasp of security protocols, compliance standards, and both cloud and on-premises data center environments.
• Proven experience in supporting a high-volume 24/7 production setting.
• Familiarity with GitLab, CI/CD tools, monitoring and alerting systems, and SRE methodologies.
• Understanding of PCI compliance and security best practices is preferred.
• Experience in software development with languages such as Python, Java, or Go is a plus.
• Knowledge of software design patterns, code review processes, and Git version control is essential.
• Experience with Agile practices.
• Proven track record as a key contributor in a fully remote team.
• Highly knowledgeable about a majority of in-scope services.
• Capacity to engage in highly strategic, complex, and high-risk projects.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
• Ability to work effectively within cross-functional and multidisciplinary teams.
