This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
β’ Act as the main Employee Relations point of contact for Manufacturing & Commercial personnel located in Canada while also supporting client groups in the United States.
β’ Provide guidance and coaching to leaders, managers, and employees on matters related to employee relations.
β’ Handle employee complaints and concerns, assess subsequent actions, and ensure resolutions align with company policy and relevant legislation.
β’ Advise both employees and management on performance management, disciplinary actions, restructuring, legal issues, investigations, conflict resolution, crisis management, labor relations, and similar topics.
β’ Guarantee the equitable and consistent application of Medtronicβs policies and procedures.
β’ Create and implement proactive employee and labor relations strategies utilizing data to identify opportunities and mitigate risks.
β’ Spearhead restructuring efforts that facilitate employee transitions.
β’ Collaborate with HR Centers of Excellence on complex talent acquisition, leave management, organizational design, restructuring, and other HR-related issues.
β’ Record cases in ServiceNow and escalate issues to the ER/HR Director as necessary.
β’ Convert data and insights into actionable recommendations and strategies.
β’ Lead or assist in ER/HR projects and change initiatives across Operations, Commercial, and Americas Employee Relations teams.
β’ Document complaints and report Adverse Drug Reactions (ADR).
β’ A Bachelorβs degree with at least 7 years of relevant HR experience OR an advanced degree with a minimum of 5 years of relevant HR experience.
β’ Bilingual proficiency in French and English β REQUIRED.
β’ Strong understanding of Provincial Labour Legislation.
β’ Proven track record in managing labor-related issues before Provincial Labour Boards.
β’ Experience in developing and implementing strategies and recommendations for Senior Leadership.
β’ Ability to partner with, influence, and/or coach Senior Leadership.
β’ Skilled in project management and process mapping.
β’ Strong presentation skills.
β’ Excellent communication skills with a demonstrated capacity to coach and influence others.
