• Create and develop the AWS infrastructure and delivery platform for a new gaming initiative.
• Establish the cloud foundation, encompassing account structure, networking, Kubernetes platform, CI/CD, and observability.
• Design AWS multi-account architecture, landing zone, VPC and networking, IAM strategy, and cost management.
• Build and maintain the container platform utilizing Amazon EKS, service mesh, autoscaling, and resilience across multiple AZs and regions.
• Implement infrastructure as code using Terraform, GitOps delivery via Argo CD or similar tools, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Set up metrics, logging, tracing, alerting, and SLO-based reliability with error budgets.
• Manage incident response, on-call design, runbooks, chaos/load testing, and conduct blameless postmortems.
• Develop infrastructure for transitioning from the existing third-party platform, including dual-running environments, data migration pipelines, and cutover processes.
• Integrate audit trails, environment segregation, backup/disaster recovery, and compliance controls for gaming regulations.
• Provision and manage infrastructure for AI-assisted development and incorporate AI tools into DevOps workflows.
• Mentor engineers and establish cloud-native and operational standards across the organization.
• Over 10 years of experience in DevOps/platform/infrastructure engineering, including at least 3 years at the staff/principal level with influence across the organization.
• Extensive hands-on experience with AWS: EKS, EC2, RDS/Aurora, networking (VPC, Transit Gateway, Route 53), IAM at scale, and multi-account architectures.
• AWS certifications such as Solutions Architect Professional or DevOps Professional are advantageous.
• Proficient in infrastructure as code using Terraform.
• Strong operational expertise in Kubernetes: day-2 operations, upgrades, capacity management, and cost optimization.
• Proven ability to build CI/CD and developer platforms that engineering teams adopt willingly, focusing on golden paths rather than gatekeeping.
• Experience with observability and SLO/error-budget practices (Prometheus/Grafana, OpenTelemetry, CloudWatch).
• Background in operating high-availability and high-throughput production systems with real traffic spikes, supported by documented playbooks from actual incidents.
• Strong skills in scripting/programming (Python, Go, or Bash) and the ability to read application code comfortably.
• Experience in designing backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity solutions for systems where data loss is unacceptable.
• Excellent proficiency in written and spoken English; effectively communicates platform decisions to both engineers and executives.
• Practical experience with AI coding tools (such as Claude Code or Codex) for infrastructure, pipelines, and operations automation is a significant advantage.
• Knowledge in security engineering, including cloud security posture management, secrets management (e.g., Vault), vulnerability management, and SAST/DAST/SCA in CI/CD, as well as ISO 27001 / SOC 2 / PCI DSS compliance.
• Experience in iGaming, sports betting, fintech, or other regulated, high-transaction-volume industries.
• Familiarity with migration processes off third-party vendor platforms.
• Experience with event-streaming infrastructure (Kafka/MSK) and database operations at scale.
• Proficiency in Polish and/or Spanish is a plus.
• Competitive salary and performance-based bonuses.
• Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance.
• Flexible working hours and remote work options.
• Generous vacation and paid time off policy.
