Principal Data Scientist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design voice-activated chat systems for police officers to assist with location searches, person searches, and other everyday tasks.

• Create AI text processing solutions for ASR text capitalization, digitization, and punctuation.

• Develop AI algorithms that transform unstructured data into structured, searchable formats.

• Construct LLM-based parsers for general search functionalities.

• Oversee interns and direct data science research initiatives.

• Create REST APIs and establish data governance to ensure customer data quality, security, and privacy.

• Deploy services and containers utilizing Azure, Google, and AWS cloud platforms.

• Develop natural language database queries within a public safety context.

• Design prompts and fine-tune LLMs for targeted tasks.

• Construct chatbots using Rasa, Voiceflow, and Google DFCX.

• Create AI text-processing algorithms for both free-text and voice-based interactions.

• Mentor junior data scientists in NLP and text-processing algorithms.

• Create multilingual datasets to facilitate translation model training and evaluation.

• Develop optimized ELK Stack queries to ensure rapid data retrieval.

• Create and assess datasets to refine STT and TTS models.

• Manage cloud-based provisioning systems with real-time updates and integration with radio systems.

⛳️ Requirements

• Master's degree plus 2 years of relevant experience, or a Bachelor's degree with 5 years of experience.

• Proficiency in utilizing Azure, Google, and AWS cloud services for deploying services and containers.

• Experience with LLMs, including prompt design and fine-tuning.

• Proven history of building chatbots using frameworks like Rasa, Voiceflow, and Google DFCX.

• Strong background in developing NLP and text-processing algorithms.

• Experience in designing multilingual datasets for translation models.

• Skilled in crafting ELK stack queries optimized for efficient data retrieval.

• Experience in evaluating and fine-tuning STT and TTS models.

• Familiarity with cloud-based provisioning systems, real-time updates, and radio integration.

• No travel is required.
