This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Incorporate cutting-edge AI functionalities throughout GDIT's offerings.
• Enhance and assess the effectiveness of AI coding instruments within the team.
• Execute custom-developed and vendor/COTS AI solutions from initial prototype to full production.
• Create and apply AI solutions for automated tracking and reporting of program achievements.
• Design intelligent classification systems and foster proactive knowledge management.
• Deploy GenAI with LLMs and RAG to provide accurate, data-driven answers.
• Establish an agentic framework for managing service tickets, account administration, and intelligent journey orchestration.
• Assist the CMS Hosting, Operations & Maintenance (HOM) program.
• Oversee and guide other AI/ML Data Scientists.
• Master's Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).
• Over 8 years of experience as a data scientist with a strong history of deploying AI/ML production solutions.
• Proficient AI/ML coding skills.
• Capability to independently implement custom and vendor-based AI solutions.
• Experience utilizing AI coding tools.
• Familiarity with generative AI (GenAI), large language models (LLMs), and retrieval augmented generation (RAG).
• Solid understanding of machine learning, statistical analysis, and experimental design with both quantitative and qualitative data.
• Expertise in AI/ML cloud technologies, ideally AWS, including Bedrock, Lambda, and SageMaker.
• Proficient in the Python data science ecosystem: Pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn, PyTorch/TensorFlow.
• Experience with SQL.
• Background in integrating AI solutions with legacy enterprise systems and orchestration platforms.
• Proven experience in establishing and scaling AI/ML programs, creating roadmaps, and enhancing user/tool adoption.
• Knowledge of data engineering, ETL processes, data pipelines, and APIs.
• Excellent communication abilities with a knack for translating technical concepts for stakeholders and leadership.
• Capability to supervise and mentor other AI/ML Data Scientists.
• Ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance; must have resided in the United States for at least three of the last five years and pass a public trust background investigation.
• NACI (T1) public trust requirement.
