This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +24 more states.
• Act as the primary lead delivering precise and high-quality analyses that convert data into effective organizational decisions.
• Offer strategic thought leadership and collaborate with various functional areas to produce joint work products that align with divisional and enterprise strategies.
• Oversee the execution of multiple large and/or intricate data science and engineering projects.
• Drive the development and testing of hypotheses across diverse functional data sets.
• Facilitate requirements-gathering meetings with both business and technical teams.
• Define and implement cohesive data models and data repositories.
• Design and construct scalable data pipelines for data ingestion, cleansing, transformation, integration, and validation.
• Create and develop models utilizing data mining, statistical analysis, predictive modeling, stochastic modeling, pattern recognition, probability analysis, and network analysis.
• Implement production models using Python and R programming languages.
• Engineer data sets, create SQL queries, integrate data, and address data quality challenges.
• Apply Big Data systems principles to data set engineering and analytic model application.
• Lead the development and review of complex analytic models and algorithms.
• Identify actionable insights, suggest recommendations, and influence business directions by conveying results to cross-functional teams.
• Document and test analytic processes, ensuring performance and data validation and verification.
• Collaborate with enterprise business areas to integrate feedback into audit processes.
• Clearly communicate analytic methods and drive business outcomes with relevant business areas.
• Consult with executive leadership and facilitate CoC ideation for Commercial and Medicare initiatives.
• Informally guide analysts and consolidate information into recommendations for executive leadership.
• Bachelor's degree or an advanced degree where applicable; 10+ years of relevant experience may act as a substitute for the degree.
• 8+ years of experience in a related domain.
• Strong analytical and data science capabilities.
• Familiarity with Snowflake.
• Experience in developing AI Agents.
• Knowledge of Bell curve analysis.
• Ability to integrate industry benchmarks into analyses.
• Experience in conducting outlier detection.
• Significant experience in the healthcare sector.
• Required knowledge of Payment Integrity/Fraud, Waste, and Abuse (FWA) business practices.
• Strongly preferred understanding of FWA concepts, CMS guidelines, and Medical/Reimbursement Policy.
