This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Deliver primary operations data ontology support to the C3C/Kessel Run division.
• Implement Department of Defense ontology principles and standards across semantic models and taxonomies.
• Collaborate with subject matter experts and technical professionals to create conceptual frameworks for intricate data relationships, entities, and logic.
• Develop and maintain authoritative specifications utilizing OWL, RDF, and related languages.
• Assist in the execution and operational integration of ontologies within warfighting systems.
• Ensure precise data transformation through the use of written queries and validation tools.
• Act as a liaison with C3C, enterprise data councils, and working groups.
• Promote standardized data models, AI readiness, and semantic interoperability.
• Evaluate emerging mission requirements to enhance and adapt ontologies and data models.
• Aid in the curation and governance of C3C data artifacts within enterprise tools, including data catalogs and message transformation service layers.
• Collaborate with mission-domain roles and technical subject matter experts.
• Contribute to the definition of the initial formal ontologies within the broader DAF Battle Network.
• Must be a U.S. citizen.
• Must possess a Top Secret Security Clearance and be eligible for SCI.
• Preferred: TS/SCI clearance.
• Preferred: BA/BS degree.
• Preferred: 7 years of directly related experience, including experience within the DoD.
• Proficiency with OWL, RDF, and RDFS.
• Familiarity with BFO, CCO, DIEKM, and other ontology standards.
• Experience with SQL and SPARQL.
• Experience using ontology editor tools such as Protégé.
• General understanding of physical data structures and their representation in relational and non-relational databases.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to quickly understand new concepts and synthesize large amounts of information.
• Ability to convey information effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
