Principal Cybersecurity Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois, +4 more states.

📋 Description

• Offer technical and engineering support to the Cyber Security Department

• Provision, assist, and sustain Cyber Security operating platforms, applications, and services

• Deliver and implement technological solutions and configurations that align with the enterprise's cyber security strategy and objectives

• Engage in the design, implementation, and delivery of Post Quantum Cryptographic solutions and systems

• Provide expertise in cryptography, including FIPS 203–205, FALCON, NIST IR 8547 candidate algorithms, network architecture, systems design, software platforms, API calls, and aspects of mainframe architecture

• Create and sustain cyber security solutions

• Execute additional duties as assigned

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or 4+ years of relevant cybersecurity experience

• 8+ years in production support and design of Cyber Security technologies

• 8+ years of operational experience with security technologies

• 8+ years implementing or utilizing technology lifecycles and best practices

• 1+ years of experience in deploying cyber security tools (hardware and software)

• 1+ years of experience in leading projects and implementing new technologies and solutions

• Preferred: Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field

• Preferred: CISSP, CRISC, or other relevant encryption certifications

• Preferred: Advanced knowledge of PKI and Cryptographic solutions, including certificate lifecycle management tools such as Venafi or HashiCorp

• Preferred: Advanced understanding of operating systems, including Windows, Linux, and Unix

• Preferred: Advanced knowledge of network architecture designs and cryptographic traffic flows

• Preferred: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, especially in customer-facing scenarios

• Preferred: Capacity to research, assess, and formulate courses of action for security hardware, software, and tools

• Candidates located in EST or CST are preferred
