Principal Cloud Solutions Architect – Presales, Hyperscaler

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +5 more states.

📋 Description

• Assess customer opportunities and pinpoint strategic workloads that are ideal for hyperscaler cloud adoption.

• Create comprehensive cloud architectures utilizing NetApp services and first-party storage solutions from hyperscalers.

• Conduct technical presentations, workshops, demonstrations, architecture evaluations, and executive briefings.

• Oversee technical validation initiatives and proof-of-concept projects.

• Provide guidance to clients on cloud modernization, migration, AI, analytics, enterprise applications, and data platform projects.

• Work alongside hyperscaler sales and technical teams to enhance customer adoption and expand workloads.

• Develop reusable architectures, best practices, and technical resources.

• Relay field insights to Product Management and Engineering teams.

• Collaborate with Professional Services and Customer Success teams for onboarding, production readiness, and growth efforts.

• Keep track of opportunity status, technical milestones, risks, next steps, and forecasting data in Salesforce.

• Mentor Cloud Solutions Architects and engage with technical communities, advisory groups, and training programs.

• Stay updated on hyperscaler cloud services, public cloud offerings, enterprise workloads, and industry trends.

• Acquire and maintain technical knowledge and relevant certifications.

• Create or refine processes, enablement strategies, and technical resources for NetApp and hyperscaler partner teams.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.

• Over 12 years of relevant industry experience.

• At least 8 years of experience in a customer-facing Solutions Architect, Cloud Architect, Technical Sales, or similar role.

• Minimum of five years' experience with hyperscaler infrastructure providers such as Azure, AWS, GCP, or OCI.

• Strong preference for deep experience in hyperscaler cloud architecture.

• Professional-level hyperscaler architecture certification preferred or expected to be obtained within an agreed onboarding timeframe.

• Advanced hyperscaler architecture certifications are highly desirable.

• Additional certifications in networking, security, DevOps, FinOps, databases, AI, or related fields are an advantage.

• Experience with NetApp ONTAP and the broader NetApp portfolio is preferred.

• Background in supporting enterprise cloud migrations, modernization initiatives, and production workload adoption.

• Experience working with strategic enterprise clients and executive stakeholders.

• Preference for candidates based in EST or CST time zones.
