This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado, +3 more states.
• Provide leadership across enterprise-level cloud platforms, infrastructure services, automation, and operational excellence.
• Develop technical strategies, architecture standards, governance practices, and engineering best practices.
• Participate in an on-call rotation 24/7, up to 50% of the year.
• Address operational and security incidents impacting business-critical systems and cloud platforms.
• Diagnose issues related to infrastructure, security, networking, identity, and cloud platforms.
• Act as an escalation point for Tier 2 and Tier 3 support in cloud and infrastructure matters.
• Drive the resolution of significant incidents involving cloud services, identity platforms, virtualization, networking, business continuity, and enterprise applications.
• Conduct root cause analyses and implement long-term corrective and preventive measures.
• Serve as a technical lead and mentor to Cloud Engineers, Systems Engineers, and Infrastructure Engineers.
• Design, implement, and govern enterprise cloud platforms, services, and operational standards.
• Establish cloud architecture patterns, security controls, automation standards, and governance processes.
• Lead initiatives for cloud migration, modernization, and infrastructure transformation.
• Collaborate with application, security, and data teams to develop scalable, secure, and resilient technology solutions.
• Influence the strategic direction for cloud services, platform engineering, observability, automation, resilience, and infrastructure operations.
• Create and maintain operational processes, procedures, standards, and technical documentation.
• Provide guidance to stakeholders on cloud architecture, security, compliance, platform capabilities, and operational risk.
• Spearhead strategies for infrastructure resiliency, disaster recovery, backup, and recovery.
• Influence enterprise standards related to identity management, endpoint management, networking, cloud governance, and infrastructure security.
• Assess emerging technologies and suggest enhancements to enterprise platforms and operational efficiency.
• 7-9 years of relevant experience in infrastructure, cloud engineering, systems engineering, or platform administration.
• Advanced to expert-level technical knowledge of Microsoft Azure and AWS infrastructure and platform engineering.
• Familiarity with cloud architecture, governance, and operational best practices.
• Experience using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).
• Administration and configuration of Windows and Linux Servers.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Entra ID, Active Directory, SSO, MFA, Conditional Access, and identity governance.
• Experience with cloud storage, backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity solutions.
• Proficiency in monitoring, logging, observability, and alerting platforms.
• Skills in PowerShell and infrastructure automation.
• Experience supporting CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Knowledge of security hardening, vulnerability management, and cloud security controls.
• Familiarity with container and orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes and Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).
• Experience administering the Microsoft 365 platform.
• Understanding of application architecture and cloud-native development patterns.
• Knowledge of data platforms and analytics services.
• Familiarity with FinOps and cloud cost optimization practices.
• Understanding of Zero Trust security principles and regulatory compliance requirements.
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• If applicable, must meet all DOT qualification requirements and comply with relevant transportation regulations.
• Must be authorized to work in the country where the position is located without employer sponsorship or support.
