This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Aid in the design and implementation of multi-cloud laboratory environments utilizing AWS, Azure, and GCP with Terraform and Ansible, under guidance.
• Play a role in the development of CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions for provisioning, configuring, and dismantling lab environments.
• Create, test, and manage reusable infrastructure-as-code modules within a version-controlled framework.
• Assist in the construction of environments for security tool proof of concept (POC) and proof of value (POV) projects from initial requirements to dismantling.
• Keep up-to-date documentation and runbooks in a version-controlled system.
• Aid in the evaluation of security tools across various domains including vulnerability management, CNAPP, EDR, application security, and AI security solutions.
• Collaborate in the development of agentic harnesses that integrate with AI and LLM APIs.
• Record test cases based on client requirements and practical use cases.
• Contribute to reports on POC and POV findings and engage in client walkthrough sessions with mentorship.
• Stay informed about new cloud platforms, security tools, and AI capabilities pertinent to the SITL evaluation mission.
• Collaborate with the Northeast AI and AppSec teams as part of the Northeast DevSecOps team.
• Acquire practical experience in building and managing GuidePoint Security’s multi-cloud Security Innovation and Technology Lab.
• Practical experience with at least one Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tool (Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation, or similar) is necessary.
• Currently enrolled or recently graduated with a degree in computer science, engineering, or a comparable field is preferred.
• Familiarity with scripting or programming languages (Python, Bash, or similar) and a keen interest in automation and infrastructure.
• Passion for cloud infrastructure, DevOps methodologies, and evaluating security tools.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of producing accurate technical documentation and contributing to client-facing materials.
• Technical proficiency and comfort in building real infrastructure in a fast-paced, practitioner-led setting.
• Preference for candidates in the Eastern or Central time zones.
• Must be physically present in the United States for the entirety of the internship.
• Availability to work 25–29 hours per week, Monday through Friday, in alignment with the Eastern Time Zone.
• Must possess a personal computing device and high-speed internet access during working hours.
• This position is not available to candidates residing in Alaska, California, Hawaii, New Mexico, New York, Oregon, Washington, and Wyoming.
