Principal Clinical Data Science Programmer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico, +2 more countries.

📋 Description

• Design, validate, and sustain programming solutions for CDMS/EDC systems such as Rave and Veeva.

• Create and manage programs for processing external vendor data.

• Execute CDMS data extracts and develop data transfer programs.

• Generate data validation and analytics outputs, data review/risk management outputs, custom reports, and clinical trial programs.

• Collaborate with data managers, project managers, biostatisticians, and other roles to incorporate programming solutions into data management workflows.

• Act as the primary point of contact for system programming inquiries during study setup and ongoing maintenance.

• Engage in internal and external meetings while providing constructive feedback.

• Mentor and offer guidance, training, and support to fellow programmers.

• Facilitate knowledge sharing through presentations and training materials.

• Enhance technical systems and processes in a subject matter expert capacity.

• Keep abreast of programming languages and data management tools.

• Deliver final-level technical review and consultation for intricate programming tasks.

• Provide technical leadership for cross-study and program-level analytics initiatives.

• Drive innovative analytical methods, automation tactics, and process enhancements.


⛳️ Requirements

• Over 10 years of experience in programming for EDC systems (Rave), including data validation outputs, data review/risk management outputs, custom reports, and clinical trial programs.

• Experience in Data Analytics (SAS, SQL, R, etc.).

• Previous experience in leading, training, and mentoring junior programmers.

• Expertise in programming languages such as SAS, R, and/or Python.

• Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to work collaboratively in a dynamic, cross-functional setting.

• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills, with a focus on delivering high-quality outcomes.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the capability to effectively collaborate with diverse teams and influence results.

• Advanced proficiency in English communication, writing, and reading skills.

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, statistics, life sciences, or other relevant fields.

• Legal authorization to work in the country where the position is located.
