Principal ASIC Verification Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Establish the overarching verification strategy for SoC-level projects, including technical planning and direction.

• Facilitate and advance the development of UVM environments to validate RTL at the block, unit, and SoC levels.

• Create and implement functional tests in accordance with verification test plans.

• Enhance testbenches for functional and code coverage and drive coverage closure based on established metrics.

• Collaborate with design, software, emulation, and silicon validation teams to guarantee optimal design quality.

• Offer daily guidance and leadership to team members.

• Achieve results through mentoring, coaching, and counseling.

• Instruct the team on leveraging AI tools to boost productivity and efficiency.

• Develop and enforce coding and verification standards.

• Take ownership of verification closure for comprehensive projects, encompassing design modules, subsystems, and SoCs.

• Contribute to achieving first-pass silicon success.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 15 years of experience with practical skills in coding using UVM/SystemVerilog.

• Background in verification for complex SoCs featuring multiple clock and reset domains utilizing VCS or similar simulation tools.

• Proficient in debugging failures down to the RTL level and resolving bugs using Verdi or comparable debugging tools.

• Experience in building testbenches from the ground up.

• Familiarity with revision control systems such as Git or SVN.

• B.S. Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering.

• More than 15 years of relevant experience in networking hardware verification.

• Demonstrated expertise in verifying 50G, 100G, or 400G Ethernet MAC/PCS protocols, TCP/IP, RDMA/RoCE, or IPSec, particularly in high-speed data processing/networking applications.

• Proficiency in one or more scripting languages: TCL, Python, Perl, or Shell scripting.

• Proven history of achieving first-pass success in ASIC and systems.

• M.S. Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering is preferred.

• Experience with AI tools to generate test plans and enhance verification productivity is highly valued.
