This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States, +1 more country.
• Lead the Architecture team at Granum and spearhead the development of the technical roadmap.
• Act as a hands-on leader and coach, guiding a small team of architects while engaging in coding activities.
• Report directly to the CTO and collaborate with leaders from Platforms, Product, and feature pods.
• Oversee application and system architecture for Granum's diverse product portfolio.
• Plan and design platform upgrade tools and processes for Angular, .NET, and shared libraries.
• Mitigate technical debt across teams, ensuring a stable, secure, and scalable foundation for feature teams.
• Implement the technical roadmap by organizing visible tasks and pinpointing cross-team dependencies during quarterly planning.
• Establish architectural standards, guidelines, component patterns, and testing criteria.
• Coordinate major technology upgrades and assess new technologies.
• Create deployment patterns and provide shared CI/CD guidance.
• Advise on application security, identity and access management, and API exposure and security.
• Define interactions between humans and coding agents within the AI-native development framework.
• Lead, develop, and set the operational cadence for the Architecture Pod.
• Make architectural concepts comprehensible to engineers and coding agents through clear patterns, context, and documentation.
• Proven experience as a hands-on architect leading the architecture of a complex, production SaaS platform.
• Demonstrated ability to advance a real codebase from its current status to its desired architecture.
• Competence in reading and writing code effectively.
• Extensive experience with .NET, including modernizing legacy .NET Framework systems.
• Familiarity with systems and integration architecture, including integrations, data flow, and deployment topology.
• Understanding of API architecture, including exposing, securing, versioning, and evolving APIs without disrupting dependent users.
• A security-first perspective on authentication, access management, and API exposure.
• Systems thinking and pragmatic approach; preference for well-established technology and community solutions rather than custom builds.
• Proficiency with AI-assisted and agentic coding tools as a primary mode of development.
• Experience collaborating closely with product managers and linking technical decisions to customer outcomes.
• Leadership experience in setting direction, mentoring team members, providing constructive feedback, unblocking engineers, and maintaining a healthy team rhythm.
• Familiarity with Angular, Azure, and AWS is advantageous.
