Principal, Application Development – Maintenance, SAP – Supply Chain

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Lead the comprehensive architecture, strategic roadmap, and solution designs for Supply Chain and Procure-to-Pay functions within the Pharmaceutical Segment.

• Take ownership and governance of complete business process architectures that encompass procurement, inventory management, supply chain logistics, and finance interactions.

• Develop and maintain the supply chain architecture vision and roadmaps across procurement, planning, logistics, and supplier collaboration.

• Implement SAP fit-to-standard principles to reduce customizations and technical debt.

• Convert business requirements into scalable and standardized SAP designs.

• Conduct effort estimates, create proposals, and work collaboratively with functional partners to provide business solutions.

• Design interfaces and data flows that connect SAP ECC and SAP S/4HANA with systems such as Manhattan WMS, Kinaxis, TMS, and other platforms.

• Facilitate design reviews and alignment meetings with leaders from supply chain, procurement, sales operations, and finance.

• Collaborate with enterprise architecture to develop supply chain and procure-to-pay roadmaps.

• Ensure that all designs adhere to SOX and audit controls.

• Evaluate legacy landscapes and establish S/4HANA migration, greenfield, or hybrid transformation strategies.

• Manage testing strategies, cutover plans, post-go-live stabilization, and Hypercare activities.

• Mentor functional analysts and provide guidance to executive leadership on technology roadmaps and platform investments.

• Offer leadership and direction during problem-solving and crisis management scenarios.

• Motivate both internal and external clients to utilize out-of-the-box solutions while minimizing customizations.

• Implement the strategic direction and priority goals established by the segment.

⛳️ Requirements

• 12+ years of targeted experience is required.

• In-depth functional expertise in SAP ECC is essential.

• Extensive hands-on knowledge in Procure-To-Pay and Supply Chain Execution domains is necessary.

• Familiarity with SAP S/4HANA modules MM, EWM, and TM is preferred but not mandatory.

• Strong ability to translate business requirements into technical capabilities and solutions.

• Previous experience in Planning, Purchasing, and supply chain functions within S/4HANA Enterprise is advantageous.

• Comprehensive understanding of data architecture, analytics integration, and control frameworks is required.

• Proficiency in ASAP (Accelerated SAP) Waterfall and Agile methodologies is a plus.

• Significant experience in preparing effort estimates, creating proposals, and collaborating with functional partners is necessary.

• Previous collaboration with skilled onsite and offshore teams is preferred.

• Ability to develop individuals and teams is preferred.

• Exceptional oral and written communication skills are essential.

• Strong organizational skills are required.
