Principal AI Translation Architect, 200 Languages

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Design and spearhead an advanced conversational AI platform that transforms traditional search into interactive dialogue.

• Create the AI orchestration layer that manages large language models, specialized agents, retrieval systems, recommendation engines, and external APIs.

• Develop systems that recognize user intent, identify necessary information, access data from multiple real-time sources, reason through options, and formulate conversational replies.

• Compile and prioritize information from ticketing, hotels, airlines, restaurants, transportation, mapping, weather, and various third-party providers.

• Craft AI-native systems for multi-step planning, conversational context, tool execution, result ranking, and adaptive recommendations.

• Establish the technical vision and architectural standards.

• Assess emerging AI technologies and make strategic long-term decisions on LLM strategy, retrieval architecture, agent design, memory management, semantic search, vector databases, knowledge graphs, and AI evaluation frameworks.

• Guide and mentor senior engineers, architects, and principal engineers.

• Collaborate with Principal Architects across backend infrastructure, payments, blockchain, messaging, mini-programs, and platform services.

• Guarantee scalability, reliability, performance, low latency, and seamless ecosystem integration.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in architecting and delivering production-scale AI platforms that cater to a large user base.

• Demonstrated leadership in roles such as Principal Engineer, Chief Architect, Distinguished Engineer, or similar senior technical position.

• In-depth knowledge of Large Language Models (LLMs), AI agents, multi-agent systems, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), semantic search, and contemporary AI orchestration frameworks.

• Strong grasp of recommendation engines, ranking algorithms, personalization, and conversational AI.

• Extensive experience in designing distributed, cloud-native systems that function at a global scale with high availability and low latency.

• Practical experience in integrating complex third-party APIs and merging multiple real-time data sources into a cohesive experience.

• Exceptional architectural judgment and the capability to simplify intricate technical issues into scalable and maintainable solutions.

• Proven ability to lead senior engineering teams, mentor architects and principal engineers, set engineering standards, and make long-term technical choices.

• Strong communication skills with engineering, product, and executive leadership.
