Translators, Editors, MTPE Specialists

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants anywhere in the world.

📋 Description

• Accurately translate English video game content into engaging target-language text.

• Review and refine translations to ensure accuracy, fluency, consistency, and adherence to style.

• Edit machine-translated content to align with project quality standards.

• Work on various content types including dialogues, user interfaces, tutorials, item descriptions, and marketing materials.

• Uphold gaming terminology while adhering to glossaries, style guides, and client specifications.

• Detect linguistic issues and seek clarification when context or additional information is required.

• May involve providing subtitling or audio quality assurance for subtitles (ASREC).

⛳️ Requirements

• Native proficiency in the target language alongside a strong command of English.

• Experience in professional translation, editing, proofreading, and/or machine translation post-editing (MTPE).

• Background in video game localization, with familiarity in gaming terminology and culture.

• Exceptional writing skills coupled with attention to detail.

• Knowledge of computer-assisted translation (CAT) tools and localization processes.

• Capability to adhere to project guidelines and meet deadlines.

• A reliable internet connection is essential.

• A recognized translation degree or certification, or a university degree in a different field with a minimum of three years of professional translation or interpreting experience.

• Experience with memoQ is advantageous.
