Principal AI Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.

📋 Description

• Design, construct, and train machine learning and deep learning models, including GenAI, NLP, and predictive analytics solutions tailored for healthcare applications.

• Develop, test, and implement AI solutions in both cloud and on-premise environments.

• Handle extensive healthcare datasets, executing data preprocessing, feature engineering, and model training.

• Ensure adherence to HIPAA and other regulatory standards.

• Integrate and optimize AI models within Gainwell’s existing technology infrastructure.

• Collaborate with software engineers to guarantee seamless system integration.

• Monitor, refine, and enhance AI models for accuracy, efficiency, and speed by employing MLOps best practices.

• Stay updated with advancements in AI/ML and investigate new technologies and methodologies.

• Ensure that AI implementations comply with healthcare regulations, ethical AI principles, and data privacy standards.

• Identify opportunities for automating workflows and enhancing business processes using AI-driven solutions.

⛳️ Requirements

• Master’s or Ph.D. in Computer Science, AI, Data Science, or a related field.

• Over 5 years of experience in AI/ML engineering.

• Practical experience with GenAI, NLP, deep learning, and computer vision.

• Proficient coding skills in Python.

• Experience with TensorFlow and PyTorch.

• Familiarity with LLMs such as GPT, Gemini, and Claude, including prompt engineering and optimization.

• Knowledge of AWS, Azure, or GCP.

• Understanding of MLOps practices.

• Experience with big data tools like Spark, Hadoop, and SQL/NoSQL.

• Knowledge of HIPAA and CMS regulatory standards is advantageous.

• Experience in developing, deploying, and fine-tuning LLMs for real-world applications.

• Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to translate business challenges into AI-driven solutions.

• Video cameras must be utilized during all interviews and the initial week of orientation.
