Senior Java Developer – AI, Java, React

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Design and improve applications utilizing Java for backend development and React for frontend interfaces.

• Construct and integrate microservices, REST APIs, BFFs, and connections with external systems.

• Employ and orchestrate AI agents throughout the specification, development, testing, and deployment phases.

• Evaluate, validate, and enhance code and artifacts generated by AI agents, ensuring adherence to quality, security, and technical standards.

• Engage in refinement sessions, contributing to solution definitions, estimates, and identifying technical risks.

• Implement and refine automated unit, integration, regression, and performance testing.

• Troubleshoot and resolve intricate issues related to code, integrations, data, or environments.

• Deploy AI-driven automations to enhance productivity, quality, and efficiency across the development lifecycle.

• Collaborate with technical leadership to advance development practices and the Agentic SDLC model.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive experience in backend development with Java and microservices architecture.

• Proficiency in frontend development using React along with JavaScript or TypeScript.

• Familiarity with REST APIs, BFFs, system integration, and distributed architectures.

• Experience with AWS and application development within cloud environments.

• Strong expertise in automated testing, including unit and integration tests.

• Proficient with Git, CI/CD, and continuous delivery methodologies.

• Practical experience with Generative AI and AI agents in software development contexts.

• Knowledge of AI coding tools like Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Cursor, CI&T Flow, or equivalent tools.

• Understanding of Prompt Engineering as applied to code generation, testing, analysis, and documentation.

• Capability to critically assess AI-generated outputs, pinpointing architectural, security, performance, and quality concerns.

• Ability to autonomously investigate and resolve complex technical challenges.

• Excellent communication skills and the capacity to collaborate on and influence technical decisions.

• Proficiency in technical English for documentation and interaction with AI tools and agents.

• Preferred: experience with Agentic SDLC, the financial sector, event-driven architectures, API gateways, legacy system modernization, cloud migration, and application security.
