This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Act as the subject matter expert in AI/ML within the team.
• Keep up-to-date with the latest AI/ML technologies, trends, and opportunities.
• Integrate AI/ML strategies and best practices into various solutions.
• Assist in documenting the company’s AI strategy, ensuring it aligns with the product roadmap and overall company objectives.
• Define project approaches, scopes, milestones, and solution designs at the initiation of projects.
• Collaborate with the development team to implement AI/ML solutions.
• Write code, configure external components, and prototype new technologies.
• Produce maintainable code and unit tests, along with creating necessary documentation.
• Attend client meetings as needed.
• Monitor priorities, deadlines, and backlogs, providing coaching or assistance to the team with project tasks.
• Grasp the functionality being developed to effectively support the team.
• Conduct thorough code reviews, engage in pair programming, and collaboratively analyze problems.
• Join Product and Technology meetings, contributing to technical processes, architecture, and strategy.
• Over 5 years of experience in software architecture, full-stack development, or AI engineering.
• Demonstrated experience in designing and documenting end-to-end software architectures for complex projects.
• Minimum of two years implementing advanced AI solutions, including semantic matching, RAG systems, and document parsing for structured content.
• Experience in designing and deploying agentic systems utilizing frameworks such as LangGraph, Crew AI, or the OpenAI Agents SDK.
• Familiarity with coding-assisted platforms like Claude Code and Codex.
• Knowledge of the Model Context Protocol (MCP), associated tooling systems, model ensemble methods, and fine-tuning techniques.
• Experience with Knowledge Graph databases, such as Neo4j or similar.
• Proficient with Apache suites like Databricks, Spark, and Iceberg or related workflows.
• Experience with Human-in-the-loop (HITL) integrations within AI workflows.
• Background in implementing evaluation frameworks, testing results, and iterative refinement techniques for AI models.
• Strong understanding of coding best practices, including writing clean, modular code and using shared internal libraries.
• Deep familiarity with all authored code, including code generated or co-authored by AI tools.
• Experience in crafting comprehensive unit and integration tests, alongside relevant technical documentation.
• Ability to create clear, concise documentation that facilitates smooth developer onboarding and project contributions.
• Excellent collaboration skills with a proven record of owning specific development components and meeting tight deadlines.
• Experience in mentoring team members and collaboratively brainstorming technical architectures.
