Intern, Artificial Intelligence Engineer – Part Time

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +17 more states.

📋 Description

• Assist in the creation, implementation, and deployment of artificial intelligence models and systems with close guidance.

• Develop AI applications focused on natural language processing, generative AI solutions, and predictive analytics.

• Design, create, and execute AI models and algorithms.

• Clean, preprocess, and analyze extensive datasets to train AI models.

• Choose suitable machine learning algorithms.

• Integrate AI models into existing infrastructures or create new systems for AI solution deployment.

• Enhance AI models for accuracy, efficiency, and scalability.

• Investigate current advancements in AI and machine learning and apply them to projects.

• Collaborate with data scientists, software engineers, and other key stakeholders.

• Produce documentation for AI models, processes, and systems.

• Deploy AI models in production environments and monitor their performance.

• Consider ethical implications, potential biases, and fairness in AI models.

• Work under the mentorship and supervision of the VP, Program Performance & Analytics and/or AVP, Product Analytics and Business Strategy, or their delegate.

⛳️ Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program at a four-year college or university, preferably in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Business, Economics, Administration, Management, or IT.

• Experience with Gen AI/ML models and the development of APIs, SDKs, and applications utilizing AI/ML is advantageous but not mandatory.

• Familiarity with Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG)-based solutions is a plus, though not required.

• Proven experience with NLP techniques, Prompt Engineering, and a solid understanding of LLMs is a plus, but not essential.

• Strong programming proficiency in Python.

• Knowledge of algorithms, data structures, and software engineering principles.

• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure.

• Exceptional problem-solving and analytical abilities.

• Awareness of ethical considerations in AI.

• Candidates must have their own reliable, high-speed internet access with adequate bandwidth to perform all job functions.

• Some travel may be necessary to attend meetings and visit locations across the country.
