This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Connecticut, +4 more states.
• Drive the generation of pipelines for AI-related services and technology business to achieve or surpass quota objectives.
• Adhere to Optiv’s established sales operating processes.
• Maintain in-depth knowledge of clients’ security environments, operations, requirements, and risk tolerance.
• Identify security concerns related to AI and applications of AI security tools.
• Recognize cross-sell and upsell opportunities within client and partner relationships.
• Qualify, lead, and collaborate with internal colleagues on scopes, proposals, and deal closure.
• Engage in AI-related product, service, and advisory sales opportunities across Optiv’s portfolio.
• Clearly articulate how Optiv’s AI technology and services portfolio addresses executive client needs.
• Monitor trends in the AI industry and provide thought leadership, analysis, and guidance.
• Collaborate with service delivery teams to create domain-specialty materials and comprehensive AI solutions.
• Develop AI products, services, advisement, security strategies, and execution roadmaps in partnership with client stakeholders.
• Maintain advisory relationships with client stakeholders alongside sales partners.
• Foster relationships with Optiv technology partners.
• Lead comprehensive security programs, including requirements analysis, technology selection, demonstrations, evaluations, and cross-organizational solutions.
• Align client expectations with Optiv’s solution portfolio to guarantee implementation, delivery excellence, and client satisfaction.
• Identify emerging AI technologies and products for internal enablement and client use.
• Promote Optiv’s portfolio and enhance security awareness at speaking and partner events, through articles, and on social media.
• Build a strong network as a trusted advisor to clients, partners, peers, and the cybersecurity community.
• Share client feedback with internal teams to foster continuous improvement.
• Participate in account planning, forecasting, pipeline management, proposal management, contracts, and RFI/RFP responses.
• Maintain and enhance technical capabilities, soft skills, and security knowledge through education, certifications, and other development opportunities.
• Utilize expert sales techniques to facilitate meetings, uncover needs, overcome objections, position solutions, and finalize sales.
• BS/BA or equivalent education and relevant work experience.
• A minimum of ten (10) years in an information security role.
• Experience ideally in roles such as consulting advisor, architect, team leader, director, or higher.
• Ability to operate independently without daily management oversight.
• Capability to thrive in a highly adaptable and nimble team setting.
• Comprehensive understanding of the current threat landscape, vulnerabilities, and defensive controls as they relate to AI.
• Strong business and technical knowledge related to AI.
• Proficiency in leading technology-focused discussions pertaining to AI.
• Excellent presentation, written, and oral communication skills, including experience with whiteboard sessions.
• Strong attention to detail when reviewing SOWs, quotes, and client deliverables.
• Ability to work in-person and remotely with distributed teams in a decentralized environment.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Willingness to travel within the U.S., Canada, and internationally as necessary.
• Vendor-specific certifications primarily focused on AI and related Centers of Excellence areas.
• Desired certifications include CISSP, GIAC, CISA, CISM, CCSP, or other relevant professional cybersecurity certifications.
• Experience in speaking about and promoting technology and AI thought leadership at events.
• Prior experience leading an information security function or program.
• Organizational membership and participation in chapter meetings such as ISACA or ISSA.
