This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.
• Design and implement comprehensive AI, Generative AI, and agentic AI solutions from initial concept to final production.
• Utilize hands-on skills to develop systems based on large language models (LLMs), retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) pipelines, AI agents, and multi-agent orchestration solutions.
• Create capabilities for AI platforms, including model selection, LLM routing, retrieval strategies, memory systems, and orchestration of tools/functions.
• Lead practical prototyping and proof-of-concept projects to validate technologies and promote their adoption.
• Ensure that AI solutions are engineered for high performance, scalability, observability, privacy, and operational readiness.
• Define and guide architectural strategies across various domains and business segments, ensuring alignment with the overall enterprise strategy.
• Collaborate with business and technology leaders to develop the AI roadmap, prioritize initiatives, and formulate execution strategies.
• Establish and advocate for architecture standards, reusable patterns, and industry best practices.
• Drive modernization efforts to minimize technical debt while enhancing scalability, resilience, and performance.
• Implement and oversee AI governance, security measures, responsible AI practices, and compliance protocols.
• Ensure AI solutions are meticulously designed for optimal performance, observability, privacy, and operational readiness.
• Work collaboratively with engineering, data, product, and business teams to deliver production-quality AI solutions.
• Mentor engineers and architects while effectively communicating AI concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Over 10 years of experience in software engineering, architecture, and enterprise system design.
• Demonstrated success in delivering complete AI/ML and Generative AI solutions in production settings.
• Strong hands-on engineering skills with the capability to work across architecture, design, and implementation phases.
• Extensive expertise in LLMs, prompt engineering, RAG, embeddings, vector databases, and agent-based systems.
• Experience with agent frameworks and orchestration, including multi-agent patterns and integrations.
• Proficient programming skills in Python, with experience in building APIs, microservices, and distributed systems.
• Background in designing and implementing solutions on cloud platforms, preferably Azure.
• Familiarity with DevOps practices, including CI/CD, containerization, and scalable deployment of AI systems.
• Knowledge of infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, Bicep) and Kubernetes-based deployments.
• Strong grasp of data architecture and integration patterns that support AI workloads.
• Ability to assess emerging technologies and convert them into scalable enterprise capabilities.
• Comprehensive understanding of AI governance, risk management, compliance, privacy, and responsible AI principles.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Capable of influencing decisions across engineering, data, and business teams.
• Proven track record of mentoring, guiding, and enhancing engineering and architecture teams.
• Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related STEM field.
