Primary Care Nurse Practitioner

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.

📋 Description

• Deliver exceptional virtual primary care via video consultations, encompassing assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and patient education.

• Oversee a patient panel, providing thorough care addressing acute, chronic, and preventive health needs.

• Work alongside the Care and Case Management team to formulate care plans and facilitate successful health outcomes.

• Collaborate with supervising physicians in accordance with state and practice regulations.

• Coordinate with the Credentialing Team to secure additional state licenses as necessary.

• Ensure patient satisfaction and uphold quality metrics by practicing evidence-based medicine with an outstanding bedside manner.

• Leverage telehealth technology to provide patient care while effectively handling multiple tasks in a fast-paced clinical setting.

• Keep abreast of the latest medical knowledge, treatments, and medications.

• Follow assigned schedules, which may include evening and weekend shifts.

• Rigorously comply with HIPAA and security regulations to protect patient information.

• Foster a culture characterized by humility, curiosity, and collaboration.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of four years of experience in delivering primary care within an ambulatory or outpatient family medicine or internal medicine context.

• Proven experience in independently managing a patient panel as the designated primary care provider.

• Possession of an active, unrestricted Nurse Practitioner and RN license in the state of residence; capability to obtain licenses in additional states as required.

• Multi-state licensure is highly preferred.

• Current and active board certification from a national certifying body via ANCC or AANP.

• Must maintain active Medicare status and not be excluded, sanctioned, or disciplined by any state or federal healthcare program (including Medicare/Medicaid), the OIG, or the GSA.

• Comfort in addressing a wide range of medical conditions, including both acute and chronic issues, as well as preventive healthcare.

• Willingness and ability to treat patients of all ages throughout their lifespan.

• A professional, private, and secure home office environment is essential for virtual patient consultations.

• Proven ability to provide empathetic and compassionate care and support to patients and families during difficult circumstances.

• Capability to manage high patient volumes and competing priorities in a dynamic clinical environment while ensuring quality care.

• Strong technological proficiency with electronic health platforms; experience with telehealth is preferred.
