This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio.
• Oversee the Non-QM rate-lock desk, which includes issuing lock confirmations, tracking expiration dates, and ensuring adherence to lock policies.
• Evaluate and price exception scenarios that fall outside standard rate sheets in collaboration with the Credit and Underwriting teams.
• Provide pricing quotes for Non-QM products, encompassing base, exception-level, off-sheet, and custom takeout pricing.
• Analyze loan-level risk attributes and establish pricing overlays or exceptions based on investor interests and internal guidelines.
• Review Non-QM terms, including prepayment penalties, debt service coverage ratios, and alternative income documentation.
• Work together with Secondary Marketing and Capital Markets to synchronize pricing with hedge positions, investor guidelines, and market fluctuations.
• Keep track of pipeline health and manage pricing exceptions throughout the loan's lifecycle.
• Identify and rectify pricing discrepancies before and after the loan closing process.
• Stay updated on market conditions, LLPA updates, changes in investor guidelines, and Non-QM trends.
• Record pricing exceptions and their justifications within the loan origination system and CRM.
• Deliver management reports on exception trends, investor hit rates, lock fallout, and margin impacts.
• Ensure that rate-lock and pricing actions adhere to standards, investor requirements, and internal controls.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field is preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience in mortgage banking.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in Non-QM pricing or rate lock desk operations.
• Direct accountability for exception pricing decisions.
• Advanced knowledge of Non-QM guidelines, investor overlays, and borrower risk evaluation criteria.
• Strong analytical, quantitative, and decision-making abilities.
• Exceptional collaboration and communication skills, particularly with Sales, Credit, Capital Markets, and external stakeholders.
• Outstanding organizational, task management, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Familiarity with pricing engines such as Optimal Blue and LoanSifter.
• Experience with the Encompass loan origination system.
