This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in China.

📋 Description

• Cultivate expertise in the Indian steel and raw materials markets related to steelmaking.

• Generate accurate pricing and news that aligns with Fastmarkets' PRA methodology.

• Collaborate with regional and global teams to foster the development and implementation of benchmark prices.

• Gather pricing information and establish prices based on methodology, price specifications, and IOSCO standards.

• Provide coverage for colleagues’ pricing areas when needed.

• Conduct peer reviews of prices to ensure adherence to processes and editorial judgment.

• Compose market commentaries, breaking news, and insightful content centered on PRA.

• Manage and enhance industry connections that submit pricing data and offer exclusive news insights.

• Address market inquiries regarding pricing sessions and maintain transparency in processes.

• Assist the section editor in reviewing and overseeing the price pipeline, as well as identifying new pricing opportunities.

• Contribute to the market engagement plan through PRA content, white papers, infographics, both internal and external events, social media, and industry gatherings.

• Coordinate daily content and pricing schedules with regional and global teams.

• Report to the section editor and adhere to directives from senior reporters.

• Collaborate with price development, marketing, and events divisions as necessary.

• Interact with traders, producers, consumers, and brokers in the relevant markets.

• Proficient in written and spoken English.

• Proficiency in another language is advantageous but not mandatory.

• Interest and comprehension of financial markets and commodities.

• Strong networking abilities and communication skills.

• Confident telephone demeanor.

• Ability to work with discipline and dynamism, taking initiative to cover stories and seek information.

• Team-oriented individual who conducts themselves courteously and professionally with utmost integrity.

• Eagerness to expand market knowledge.

• Willingness to participate in projects and engage in training programs.

• Competence in working with numbers and spreadsheets to produce analytical editorial content.

• Strong interpersonal skills to respond to inquiries about pricing and pricing sessions.

• Some hands-on experience in journalism or writing, particularly in identifying significant news and structuring articles.
