This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Take ownership of and implement the territory sales strategy, which includes setting account-specific targets, fostering customer relationships, achieving revenue goals, and enhancing market share.
• Meet key performance indicators (KPIs) for territory expansion, brand distribution focus, and the execution of programs.
• Assess local market dynamics, competitive actions, and account performance, making necessary adjustments to the strategy.
• Provide consistent updates on territory performance, call activities, and market insights.
• Identify and pursue new accounts, distribution points, and previously inactive accounts.
• Research and secure new clients through market analysis, industry resources, and direct outreach.
• Expand current accounts by increasing their share of business.
• Request orders across the product range while ensuring suitable inventory levels are maintained.
• Introduce and present new brands, sizes, and packaging in alignment with the company’s strategy.
• Provide pricing quotes and credit terms to direct-buying clients.
• Cultivate relationships with owners, buyers, and retail contacts across the territory.
• Implement merchandising and brand standards in retail settings.
• Plan and carry out retailer and consumer events.
• Organize, participate in, and support partnership and sampling events.
• Develop call itineraries and sustain a regular call schedule.
• Create efficient travel routes to optimize selling time.
• Keep records of call activities, orders, and account details within company systems.
• Oversee the territory budget and expenses in accordance with company policy.
• A minimum of three years of experience in field sales or account management.
• Proven track record of managing KPIs and territory budgets to drive profitable growth.
• Strategic selling skills across a diverse product portfolio.
• Consistent execution of merchandising and brand standards in retail environments.
• Strong organizational and time management abilities, with a capacity to work autonomously.
• Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
• Strong work ethic, adaptability, and a solutions-focused mindset.
• Familiarity with CRM or order-entry systems.
• Willingness to engage in market activities daily and travel overnight for approximately 50% of the time.
• A valid driver’s license and the capability to operate a motor vehicle.
• Must either reside within the designated territory or be prepared to relocate.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Preferred: Experience in premium cigars, tobacco, beverage alcohol, or other luxury/specialty retail sectors.
• Preferred: Background in selling through both independent retail and wholesale distribution channels.
• Ability to work in retail or other tobacco-related environments where smoke is present.
• Occasional exposure to humid conditions in retail humidors.
• Capability to frequently lift or move items weighing up to 35 pounds.
