This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +43 more states.
β’ Oversee the daily operations of the Preconstruction Group and ensure the successful execution of project scope, budget, and schedule from the notice of award to project mobilization.
β’ Facilitate project meetings.
β’ Conduct cost analysis.
β’ Revise project schedules as needed.
β’ Manage contract documents throughout the execution phase.
β’ Engage in strategic negotiations for buyouts to adhere to budget constraints.
β’ Maintain the cost control ledger and job cost reports.
β’ Prepare invoices and accelerate payment processes.
β’ Establish and oversee all functionalities of the CMiC system.
β’ Create bid packages while soliciting and assessing bids.
β’ Draft project procedures.
β’ Examine plans for thoroughness and precision.
β’ Supervise and mentor Preconstruction Project Engineers and administrative personnel.
β’ Ensure that procurement activities align with the LNTP scope, budget, and timelines.
β’ Collaborate with business development, engineering, accounting, construction, and legal teams to formulate contract scopes of work.
β’ Monitor design constraints, material lead times, and any changes affecting the schedule or budget.
β’ Define and establish LNTPs.
β’ Investigate project-specific design, owner/contract, internal, and permit requirements.
β’ Represent SOLV Energy during owner meetings.
β’ Assist in estimating reconciliation for each design iteration.
β’ Maintain cost forecasting, estimated completion costs, and timely project updates.
β’ Manage project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
β’ Build relationships and strategic partnerships with owners, engineers, vendors, and subcontractors.
β’ Support Operations and Contracts Teams in finalizing EPC budget, scope, and schedule negotiations.
β’ Communicate the final scope of work with Procurement, Operations, and Business Partners.
β’ Perform additional duties as assigned.
β’ Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or Architecture, or equivalent experience.
β’ Comprehensive understanding of plans and specifications.
β’ 5-8 years of experience in the field as a Project Engineer or Assistant Superintendent.
β’ Proven leadership skills in a remote working environment.
β’ Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
β’ Excellent organizational capabilities and interpersonal skills.
β’ Proficient in MS Office suite and industry-standard tools such as Bluebeam Revu.
β’ Basic knowledge of contract law and project accounting principles.
β’ Detail-oriented and self-motivated individual.
β’ Willingness to travel, estimated at 25%.
β’ Over 5 years of construction experience.
β’ More than 2 years of experience in scheduling and estimating.
β’ Legally authorized to work in the U.S. without requiring employer sponsorship, now or in the future.
