Preconstruction Manager – Pursuit

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Take full ownership of designated pursuits from the release of the RFP to the award stage.

• Collaborate with Business Development to establish winning strategies, market positioning, pricing methods, and unique selling points.

• Oversee the pursuit schedule, budget, resource allocation, and deliverables.

• Analyze RFPs, exhibits, and draft contracts to ensure alignment with scope, commercial and technical specifications, and milestone schedules.

• Identify, document, communicate, and mitigate risks related to commercial aspects, constructability, supply chain, logistics, and scheduling.

• Lead internal risk assessments and synchronize mitigation strategies across various teams.

• Assist with clarifications, assumptions, and exceptions as necessary.

• Coordinate inputs from Engineering, Estimating, Scheduling, Preconstruction, Procurement, and Operations teams.

• Guarantee alignment of scope, cost precision, schedule reliability, and constructability considerations.

• Ensure a cohesive relationship between technical solutions and commercial strategies.

• Manage proposal deliverables to ensure compliance, quality, and timely submissions.

• Handle both internal and external timelines, including clarifications and BAFO rounds.

• Assist with client presentations, interviews, and negotiations.

• Lead the formal transition post-award to Preconstruction.

• Aid in contract negotiations to maintain bid intentions and risk management throughout the execution of the Owner agreement.

⛳️ Requirements

• A bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, business, or a related field.

• A solid understanding of EPC contracts and risk distribution.

• Proven experience in leading complex proposals or pursuits within the construction or energy infrastructure sectors.

• Exceptional communication, organizational, and leadership abilities.

• Preferred experience in utility-scale solar projects.

• Must adhere to the interview policy that prohibits AI note-takers, recording devices, and real-time transcription software.

• Must be eligible to work according to the employer's E-Verify requirements.
