Precast Production, Design Coordinator

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

📋 Description

• Support the General Manager in the development and design of molds for precast concrete products.

• Evaluate product specifications and identify practical, cost-effective molding solutions.

• Prepare or coordinate drawings and design details for mold manufacturing.

• Source local and international manufacturers and fabricators for molds.

• Gather and compare quotations for mold production.

• Coordinate with mold suppliers regarding design modifications, manufacturing needs, lead times, and delivery schedules.

• Enhance existing mold designs to boost production efficiency, product quality, and manufacturability.

• Procure and source reinforcing steel, reinforcing mesh, reinforcing bars, fabricated reinforcing cages, lifting anchors and systems, ferrules, cast-in plates, embedded items, concrete accessories, formwork and mold components, consumables, and other production materials.

• Collect supplier quotes and analyze pricing and specifications.

• Place and monitor purchase orders.

• Track lead times and deliveries.

• Identify alternative suppliers to enhance cost or availability.

• Maintain records of suppliers, pricing, and products.

• Communicate directly with Australian suppliers via email and telephone.

• Assist the General Manager with daily design, procurement, and production needs of the precast concrete business.

⛳️ Requirements

• Prior experience in precast concrete design or manufacturing, or substantial background in industrial design, mechanical design, steel fabrication, mold/tooling design, or manufacturing engineering.

• Proficient written and verbal communication skills in English.

• Ability to engage clearly and professionally with Australian suppliers, internal managers, and international fabricators through phone and email.

• Capability to work independently in an offshore environment and take charge of daily coordination.

• Proficiency in AutoCAD.

• Experience with 3D parametric modeling tools such as SolidWorks, Autodesk Inventor, or Fusion 360.

• Familiarity with BIM/precast detailing tools like Tekla Structures or Revit.

• Knowledge of ERP and inventory management tools such as NetSuite, SAP, Odoo, or MYOB Advanced.

• Experience with procurement and supplier management tools including Procore or Excel/Google Sheets for cost comparison models.

• Familiarity with digital takeoff tools such as Bluebeam Revu or Planswift.

• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including VLOOKUP, INDEX/MATCH, and Pivot Tables.

• Hands-on experience in technical design, sourcing, procurement, supplier liaison, and production coordination.
