This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.
• Utilize the computerized central scheduling system to ensure efficient, courteous, and effective scheduling.
• Avoid scheduling conflicts and guarantee the correct sequence of multiple tests.
• Input patient registration details, encompassing demographic, insurance, and contact information.
• Register patients within the time frames defined by policies.
• Complete Medicare questionnaires for patients enrolled in Medicare.
• Stay informed about Medicare, Medicaid, third-party payer requirements, insurance plans, pre-authorization/referral necessities, and accepted insurance plans.
• Provide precise exam preparation and arrival instructions.
• Acquire and transcribe orders for scheduled outpatient examinations.
• Engage in department staff meetings and continuing education initiatives.
• Attend mandatory in-services and fulfill required safety competencies.
• Collaborate on group projects to address departmental challenges.
• Respond to or appropriately direct questions from patients, visitors, and employees.
• Uphold patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA and compliance policies.
• Inform clients about insurance requirements and pre-payment responsibilities.
• Manage financial transactions.
• High School Diploma.
• Generally requires 1 year of experience in healthcare, the insurance industry, call centers, or customer service environments.
• Capable of problem-solving in a high-profile, high-stress setting.
• Ability to work independently, establish and meet deadlines, and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Proficient in identifying and understanding issues and challenges.
• Skilled in analyzing data and drawing logical conclusions.
• Basic computer proficiency.
• Must adhere to remote work standards.
• Must be able to sit for the majority of the workday.
• Competent in operating all necessary equipment to perform the job.
