Pre-Sales Security Systems Engineer – Access Control, CCTV

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.

📋 Description

• Deliver engineering design and support for security solutions tailored for both new and existing clients.

• Collaborate with internal teams, external partners, clients, and subcontractors to guarantee project success.

• Exhibit a comprehensive understanding of electronic security technologies, including ACS, IDS, FDS, and CCTV.

• Evaluate architectural, electrical, telecommunication, and security engineering floor plans, riser diagrams, device schedules, and detailed drawings.

• Design, develop, and implement solutions for system installations, enhancements, repairs, and transitions.

• Assess Field Site Survey documentation and offer technical support for RFI/RFP responses.

• Generate solution design documentation, encompassing drawings, BOMs, and design summaries.

• Provide technical assistance to both in-office and on-site team members.

• Assist management in producing documentation for the integration of new technology with current and prospective customers.

• Stay updated on current and emerging electronic security technologies and leading industry vendors.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 3-7 years of relevant industry experience.

• An associate or bachelor’s degree in a related field is preferred; however, a sufficient amount of applicable experience may substitute for formal education.

• Proficiency in the design and planning of access control and video systems.

• Preferred professional Electronic Security Certifications or training (Lenel, Genetec, C-Cure, Avigilon, Axis, Bosch, Milestone, etc.).

• Must be capable of meeting and maintaining various certifications, licenses, and/or registrations, in accordance with relevant state laws and electronic security regulations applicable in the states of operation.

• Willingness to engage in and successfully complete the company’s pre-employment screening process, including a background check and drug testing.

• If relevant, must maintain a safe driving record and possess a valid driver’s license to satisfy the travel obligations of this role.
