This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois, +3 more states.
β’ Oversee the relationship between the Major Projects Team and the network of subcontractors.
β’ Act as the primary procurement liaison for the designated branch office.
β’ Collaborate with the Major Projects Team to create precise installation cost models.
β’ Formulate installation cost estimates and identify and select external subcontractors.
β’ Manage the development of subcontractors, contracts, supplier relationships, price negotiations, and optimization of working capital.
β’ Enhance communication between Major Projects Procurement, branch offices, and Operations/Installation teams.
β’ Coordinate procurement operations and ensure adherence to BOS procedures and Delegation of Authority standards.
β’ Collaborate with Sales during project planning to manage subcontractor installation pricing and define subcontractor strategies.
β’ Evaluate project statements of work and qualify, clarify, and standardize subcontractor requirements and bids.
β’ Utilize estimating tools to create baseline subcontractor installation pricing for estimates potentially exceeding $10MM.
β’ Source quotes from third-party subcontractors.
β’ Review customer documentation to ensure that adequate provisions are included in JCI contracts for subcontractors.
β’ Develop, host, and evaluate RFPs.
β’ Build and sustain effective relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
β’ At least 5 years of experience in estimating.
β’ Relevant experience in the electrical industry (such as Journeyman Electrician, Electrical Supervisor, Estimator, Technician, or a bachelor's degree) is mandatory.
β’ Experience in procurement with a focus on construction/Low Voltage Electrical and associated services.
β’ Competence in cost analysis and a solid understanding of financial principles.
β’ Familiarity with estimating software like Procore, McCormick, Archdesk, Accubid, or Bluebeam.
β’ Capability to perform take-offs to establish BOM and ROM for project installation needs.
β’ Proficient computer skills, including MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and MS Project.
β’ Experience in the Low Voltage Electrical installation trade.
β’ Strong proficiency in English is essential.
β’ Willingness to travel, including up to 10% overnight travel.
β’ Ability to collaborate efficiently with Sales, Operations, suppliers, subcontractors, and teams.
β’ Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
β’ Multilingual capabilities are preferred but not required.
