Pre-Approval Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Carolina.

📋 Description

• Act as a bridge between the organization's internal teams and external clients.

• Manage and engage directly in the loan process from initiation to completion.

• Inform borrowers about loan options, associated costs, and necessary loan documentation.

• Evaluate and audit income, assets, DU findings, and credit records within mortgage files.

• Examine mortgage loan disclosure packages and ensure their delivery to borrowers.

• Aid in the management of a pipeline including Conventional, FHA, VA, USDA, 203k, Jumbo, and reverse mortgage loans.

• Design loan structures that best align with borrowers’ financial situations.

• Check files for any missing documentation needed for approval.

• Discuss loan programs and costs with borrowers.

• Pre-underwrite documents such as paystubs, credit reports, W-2s, bank statements, and court orders.

• Enter disclosure feeds and organize loans to meet borrowers’ requirements.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or a relevant combination of education and experience.

• 3–5 years of experience in residential mortgage processing.

• Familiarity with Encompass LOS is preferred.

• Previous underwriting experience is an advantage.

• Understanding of RESPA guidelines and all relevant mortgage and consumer regulations.

• Strong mathematical and analytical skills.

• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.

• Exceptional prioritization and time management skills to adhere to deadlines.

• Proficient in DU, LP, Microsoft Outlook, and Windows operating systems.

• A license is required to discuss loan programs and costs with borrowers.
