Practice Management Implementation Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee the implementation of practice management functionalities for organizations in the behavioral health sector, including appointment scheduling, client intake, billing, and claims processing.

• Utilize technical and operational expertise to conduct software and integration testing.

• Address issues that necessitate modifications to existing software applications and solutions.

• Create scripts and test cases for newly introduced software applications and solutions.

• Collect and assess business client feedback in collaboration with the development team.

• Aid in the preparation of user requirement documentation.

• Collaborate with engineering teams to outline requirements for product modifications.

• Participate in and monitor project plans, progress, milestones, and targeted implementation timelines.

• Identify risks that may impact business client objectives and formulate mitigation strategies.

• Maintain records of business client communications and documentation in suitable repositories.

• Test and troubleshoot final system implementations.

• Provide training and support to end-users during and post-implementation.

• Carry out additional tasks and/or projects as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Behavioral Health, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in implementing EHR or practice management systems, ideally within behavioral health or human services environments.

• Solid understanding of behavioral health workflows, scheduling, and front-office operations.

• Familiarity with Medicaid, managed care, and behavioral health-specific payer requirements.

• Exceptional communication, project management, and problem-solving abilities.

• Willingness to travel up to 25% as necessary.

• Experience with behavioral health EHR platforms is preferred.

• Knowledge of HIPAA, 42 CFR Part 2, and other compliance standards related to behavioral health is preferred.

• Project management certification (PMP, CSM) or EHR systems certification is preferred.
