This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Carolina.
• Cultivate, sustain, and enhance the culture and community among Quality Engineering professionals.
• Guide a team of Quality Engineers by mentoring them on knowledge, skills, and performance enhancement.
• Elevate practice capabilities and provide counsel to practitioners to ensure effective and sound solutions.
• Guarantee the delivery of high-quality technology solutions through thorough testing methodologies and quality assurance.
• Recruit talent, establish goals, develop team members, oversee performance and compensation decisions, foster teamwork, and manage disciplinary actions when necessary.
• Mentor and train practitioners while directing their efforts related to product quality and delivery efficiency.
• Foster the development of colleagues to become experts in their field.
• Adapt to the requirements of customers, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies in collaboration with Platform and Journey teams.
• Evaluate Quality Engineering practitioners and uphold enterprise practice standards.
• Facilitate the Practice Community of Interest throughout the Technology organization.
• Formulate coaching strategies and provide leadership across various teams and departments.
• Implement practice strategy through tools, methodologies, and processes at the enterprise level.
• Offer team leadership, training, coaching, development, succession planning, recruitment, and resource management.
• Collaborate with Platform and Journey leaders to ensure reciprocal practitioner feedback.
• Identify skill gaps and address them through learning, coaching, and support initiatives.
• Create an engaged practitioner culture and serve as an expert innovator and agent of cultural change.
• Transition quality engineering from a focus on defect detection to proactive defect prevention.
• Promote ongoing improvement and automation possibilities.
• Analyze data, provide recommendations, and evaluate program and practice effectiveness.
• Review test assets for quality, compliance with standards, reusability, and maintainability.
• Monitor service and productivity, implement process enhancements, and address risk, governance, and remediation challenges.
• Manage stakeholder relationships, align with enterprise and regulatory requirements, and escalate high-risk activities as necessary.
• Uphold risk management and control practices.
• Lead and nurture a diverse, engaged team while promoting a culture of continuous learning.
• Develop strategic priorities and long-term plans, set team objectives, provide feedback and coaching, and manage employees in accordance with HR policies.
• Bachelor’s or higher degree in Computer Science, a related Engineering field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Over 10 years of relevant experience in the field of expertise.
• Comprehensive experience in Mortgage Product management.
• Experience in Residential Mortgage and/or Home Equity Lending.
• Senior-level experience in Quality Engineering, Quality Assurance, or Software Testing.
• Strong background in manual functional, integration, regression, and end-to-end testing.
• Experience in analyzing business requirements and converting them into test scenarios and test cases.
• Familiarity with Agile delivery frameworks.
• Proficiency in quality management and defect tracking tools such as JIRA and JTMF.
• Exceptional communication, stakeholder management, leadership, and mentorship abilities.
• Capability to independently lead testing initiatives while influencing quality outcomes across various teams.
