This is a fully remote position, open to applicants anywhere in the world.
• Assist customers in maximizing the potential of open-source databases within the AWS environment and its ecosystem.
• Provide architectural insights regarding related infrastructure that may impact database performance, costs, or reliability.
• Deliver strategic counsel and hands-on support for complex implementations and migrations.
• Champion customer success and suggest the most technically suitable solutions.
• Aid existing AWS clients in enhancing performance, reducing costs, and integrating additional AWS or Percona services.
• Support clients transitioning to AWS, ensuring a seamless transfer of Percona support and services.
• Offer advice to internal Percona teams on enhancements for software and services tailored to AWS customers.
• Work in partnership with the Cloud Partnership team on AWS co-selling initiatives, partner programs, and joint marketing strategies.
• Drive revenue, profitability, subscription contributions, partnership revenue, and customer satisfaction within the AWS Practice.
• Elevate Percona's visibility through content development, professional networking, and public speaking engagements.
• Design and develop professional service offerings and packages.
• Empower Sales and Marketing through technical campaigns, pre-sales assistance, and deal support.
• Recruit and mentor a dedicated team for the AWS Practice.
• Extensive, real-world expertise in the AWS ecosystem.
• Practical experience with open-source databases operating on AWS.
• Familiarity with AWS services and ecosystem components such as EKS, Aurora, RDS, ElastiCache, and MSK.
• Substantial hands-on experience with open-source database technologies including MySQL, PostgreSQL, MariaDB, MongoDB, and Redis / Valkey.
• Experience in senior technical advisory, architecture, consulting, or pre-sales roles involving customer interactions.
• Capability to deliver technically sound recommendations, including instances when AWS may not be the best solution.
• Proficiency in architecting migration assessments, cost optimization evaluations, and architecture audits.
• Ability to support pre-sales efforts as a Solutions Architect.
• Skills in creating technical content and presenting at industry conferences and AWS-specific events.
• Competence in hiring and mentoring a dedicated AWS Practice team as the business grows.
