This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colombia.

📋 Description

• Execute control systems within electric utilities to enhance the operational efficiency of modern grids while adhering to contract requirements and specifications.

• Engage in the design, planning, and implementation of ADMS projects.

• Assist in customer testing activities.

• Install and set up advanced distribution management applications, including DPF, FLISR, and VVC/VVO.

• Collaborate with OSI development teams to diagnose issues, prioritize tasks, and test product modifications.

• Work with utility GIS teams to extract, translate, and load electrical network models into the Distribution Management System.

• Configure and integrate software components to satisfy contract specifications and conduct testing with customers.

• Provide training to customers on operating the delivered systems.

• Offer technical assistance to troubleshoot and resolve issues on operational systems.

• Collaborate across functional teams and maintain customer engagement throughout ADMS implementations.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, electrical-computer science engineering, or computer science.

• Willingness to travel (approximately 25%).

• Preferred understanding of electric distribution power systems and modeling, including Load Flow Studies, Coordination Studies, and Arc Flash Studies.

• Preferred experience in operations or engineering at an electric utility.

• Preferred programming and scripting skills (C/Python).

• Experience in triaging complex systems and software applications.

• Experience in supporting both internal and customer-led testing events.

• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.

• Demonstrated capability to organize and prioritize tasks under tight deadlines.

• Preferred knowledge and experience with databases and data structures (SQL, XML, Mongo, GIS).

• A Master's degree in Power Systems Engineering or equivalent is a plus.
