Electrical Engineer, Project Manager – Smart Grid Software

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany, +1 more country.

📋 Description

• Lead, coordinate, and plan strategic Smart Grid IT projects from the commissioning phase through to a successful go-live.

• Manage both internal and external stakeholders while overseeing all phases of the project.

• Monitor project schedules, budgets, and uphold quality standards.

• Ensure the seamless integration of Venios.NET into current IT environments.

• Collaborate effectively with development teams, customer departments, and external service providers.

• Assist in testing and the rollout of new features.

• Identify potential project risks and formulate suitable mitigation strategies.

• Recognize customer needs and provide insights for the ongoing development of Venios.NET.

⛳️ Requirements

• A completed degree in electrical engineering, computer science, or a similar qualification, with proven knowledge in electrical engineering.

• Several years of experience in project management, specifically in implementing software projects, preferably within the energy sector.

• IPMA certification or an equivalent project management credential is preferred, or a willingness to obtain such a certification.

• Extensive experience in the construction and operation of electrical distribution networks is preferred.

• Strong IT proficiency coupled with a solid inclination towards software development.

• Familiarity with technical guidelines, regulations, and contractual obligations.

• Excellent communication skills that are empathetic and suitable for various audiences, along with the ability to effectively manage conflicts.

• A structured, analytical, and goal-oriented approach to work, with a dedication to continuous improvement.

• A proactive, persistent, and solution-oriented mindset, demonstrating a high level of resilience and enthusiasm for change.

• A strong team player mentality.

• Proficient in English and very good command of German.

• Residency in or authorization to work in Germany or Austria.
