Electrical Design Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Execute Electrical Engineering design tasks

• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams on both commercial and naval marine projects

• Conduct detailed design activities adhering to customer processes and quality standards

• Create 3D models, 2D drawings, and related task assignments

• Tackle complex technical engineering challenges under the guidance of a senior engineer

• Deliver design outputs with accuracy, punctuality, and within budget constraints

• Support the enhancement and maintenance of quality standards

• Operate within a multidisciplinary team

• Engage in both internal and external customer reviews, ensuring clear communication of information

• Implement engineering modifications

⛳️ Requirements

• At least HNC/HND or an equivalent qualification/experience in a relevant field

• Completion of an apprenticeship in a pertinent discipline or relevant industry experience

• Skilled in one or more parametric/spec-driven CAD systems in both 3D and 2D settings

• Capability to adhere to Engineering Design Standards

• Familiarity with FORAN

• Knowledge of Windchill

• Understanding of shipbuilding/ship repair terminology and practices

• Experience in detail design processes and protocols

• Background in Naval or Commercial Marine projects, ideally in naval shipbuilding or new build/major conversion projects

• Proficient in Electrical Design

• Relevant experience in Oil & Gas, Process, Manufacturing, Defence, Aerospace, Rail, Civil, or Automotive sectors

• Preferably experience with Surface Ships

• BPSS clearance required

• SC clearance needed
