Power Staff Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Deliver advanced technical engineering support to Power, Utilities & Infrastructure teams, focusing on Power Supply Agreements, AI Load Power Strategy, and Substation & Grid Engineering.

• Offer technical engineering analysis and design assistance aligned with the team's specialized areas.

• Assist in system studies, including load flow, short-circuit, and reliability assessments.

• Create technical documentation for negotiations, design choices, or strategy proposals.

• Collaborate with Legal, Finance, Development, and Construction teams on technical project elements.

• Conduct site visits as necessary for commissioning, troubleshooting, and design clarifications.

• Aid in the development of technical scope for behind-the-meter, islanded, and grid-connected load strategies.

• Provide oversight on design, perform constructability reviews, conduct operability assessments, and support commissioning readiness.

• Assist with on-site power generation design and integration with UPS/BESS/microgrid controllers as appropriate.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.

• 5-8+ years of experience in power systems engineering, utility engineering, or a comparable technical field.

• Strong analytical abilities with experience in interpreting technical requirements, tariffs, or system studies relevant to the team.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

• Capability to create or review one-line diagrams and support system studies (load flow, short-circuit, reliability) as applicable to the team.

• Experience in supporting data center or large industrial power infrastructure is preferred.

• A Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Power Systems is preferred.

• A Professional Engineer (PE) license is preferred.

• Familiarity with on-site power generation design and delivery or experience with generator OEMs, EPCs, or commissioning providers is preferred.
